The Souls of The Damned
Unarmed and unannounced
We arrived in the camp
Bodies bloody and souls stained,
Minds splattered with shame, in the night so damp.
We stared at one another, then at the ground
Unable to meet each others eyes
We sought guidance from the earth, upon which
Our ''enemies'' blood had been spilt.
By hands which not long before held new born infants,
Now tainted with nightmares unforgettable
They knew they should forget, to help them sleep,
But one spoke silently against the notion.
A quiet night's rest was all he craved
But he knew that Sleep would not tolerate him
For he chose not to forget the Souls of The Damned, but instead, remembered

Shall I compare thee? by Zacky-Vengance, literature

Shall I compare thee?
Shall I compare thee to the moon's light?
Like royalty you perch on the throne of a Queen
And dance like a wild thing in the dark of the night
But at the dawn, you are nowhere to be seen.
A mysterious glow emits from your soul
Like the shine in your eyes, it glistens
For when you speak, I know your words are true
And I can't help but stop, and listen.
For as long as I live, you'll be in my sight
Like the sky is always in place
And just like a bird launching off into flight
You'll leave here without even a trace.
So long as the moon shines in the night
I'll never let you out of my sight.
